It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognise, accept and celebrate those differences.
— Audre Lourde

Welcome to Jade Louise, where neurodiversity is acknowledged and celebrated!

As a proud Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapist, Advocate, and Mother, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience to my practice.

The diagnosis of two of my children with neurodiversity sparked a profound journey of understanding and empathy. Over the past five years, I've also noticed a significant trend in my Relationship and Family Counselling sessions—neurodivergent individuals were frequently involved. This realisation led me to take a more proactive approach to my Neurodiversity education and to specialise in this area.

I am a Certified Autism-Informed Professional (ASDI), Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), Neurodivergent Friendly Couples Therapy Specialist (NFCT), ADHD-certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), ADHD-certified educator (ADHD-CE), and ADHD-certified rehabilitation Services Provider (ADHD-RSP).

I am also completing my Master's in Autism and Neurodivergent Studies and am a proud committee member of The Autism Family Support Association Inc. (AFSA).

Neurodiversity encompasses the natural variations in human brain function, including conditions such as ASD and ADHD. As a Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapist, I recognise and value these differences, working to create a safe and supportive environment where neurodivergent individuals can thrive.

Finding a Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapist is crucial for those seeking understanding and validation of their unique neurocognitive experiences. Many traditional therapeutic approaches may not fully accommodate the needs and perspectives of neurodivergent individuals, making it essential to seek out knowledgeable and affirming therapists.

In Neurodiversity Affirming Therapy, the focus is on empowerment, validation, and building on strengths rather than pathologising differences. By embracing neurodiversity, individuals can better understand themselves, improve relationships, and foster community and belonging.

I provide Neurodiversity-Affirming therapy to clients of all ages, including children, teens, adults, couples, and families. By celebrating our differences, we can embrace neurodiversity and foster a more inclusive and compassionate world.

"Through my therapy and advocacy, I aim to empower individuals, fortify relationships, and help foster Neurodiverse-Friendly Communities."
